You will be responsible for visitor registration and checking external suppliers. You do this by means of the available access control system. An independent job in which you make important decisions.

With our clients in the port area, you will work day, evening, night and weekend shifts, so it is important that you are flexible. As a port security officer at Dutch Empire Security you are not just a security guard, you are a security expert and the emphasis of your work is on:

  • Preventive action. Recognising irregularities and anticipating them quickly to prevent escalations and calamities.
  • Recognising unsafe or abnormal situations. You are the first to notice when something is not going as it should.
  • Hospitality without losing sight of safety. Welcoming visitors and guests and showing them around the site while keeping an eye on deviant behaviour.
  • Reception work. A variety of mail, telephone and face-to-face customer contact.

What we expect from you?

  • You are proactive, independent and flexible (no problem working evenings and weekends).
  • You are in possession of the Beveiligingsdiploma Level 2.
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.
  • You have demonstrable experience as a security guard.
  • You are reliable and professional.
  • You know how to create a good balance between security and hospitality.
  • You are a real team player and can function well in a dynamic environment.
  • You are in possession of a driving licence B and your own car/private transport.
  • You live within 40 km from Rotterdam.
