How Dutch Empire Security brings safety and community together through a meaningful neighborhood kitchen
Cooking Together, Growing Stronger Together
A Neighborhood Kitchen as a Living Example of Social Safety in Action
At Dutch Empire Security, we believe that true safety starts with people. Not with cameras, rules, or locks – but with trust, engagement, and connection. That’s why we do more than provide security: we build neighborhoods, relationships – and society itself.
A New Kitchen as the Heart of the Community
We recently installed a brand-new kitchen at one of our locations. Not for internal use, but for the community. A space where mothers cook together, where young people learn to collaborate, and where neighbors connect. A safe and welcoming place where care is natural – exactly the way we believe it should be.
This kitchen was made possible through a collaboration with Keukens aan de Maas, led by Ralph. Their craftsmanship helped us create something lasting for the neighborhood. We are deeply grateful.
From Words to Action: CSR in Practice
This community kitchen isn’t a stand-alone initiative. It’s a tangible example of how we put our mission of corporate social responsibility (CSR) into action. Because real sustainability starts with doing.
Dutch Empire Security is now a proud holder of a CSR certification that measures our efforts against international standards for social responsibility (ISO 26000). Our approach remains focused on the three CSR pillars:
- People: local employment, social impact, and the well-being of employees and neighbors
- Planet: sustainable choices in mobility, energy, and waste management
- Profit: creating value for all – not just for ourselves, but for the entire chain
This kitchen shows that our ambitions aren’t just promises – they’re actions. Especially when it comes to making a social impact.
Together, We Make Safety Human
This initiative fits seamlessly into DES’s broader vision: safety as a social foundation. As a form of care. As a network of people who know and support each other.
Because connection – more often than not – begins… in the kitchen.
